After such a long post last time, I will try to keep this one short-n-sweet. We officially brought in the New Year with our kids. Yes, we were in the NICU with them at midnight. It is a great feeling to begin a new year with children. 2010 was a blessing of a year in disguise but I am hoping 2011 will be even better!
Joleigh has reached 3 pounds, 8 ounces and is still doing great! They continue to work on weaning her oxygen and she is now down to 1.5 liters. It is amazing to watch this tiny person start to develop a personality and become her own person. She is spending more time awake and we love talking to her!
Jeremiah has reached the 4 pound mark! He now weighs in at 4 pounds, 1 ounce. The biggest change for him is that he has lost his oxygen! They took it off on Saturday and he has done great without it. We are hoping that we can begin bottle feeding him this week. Also, now that he has made it to 4 pounds, he may soon be able to move into a crib. The grandparents are very excited about this as it means they will be allowed to hold him too!
So glad that your little ones continue to improve. They will be home in their own little cribs before you know it! I can just feel your parents' arms aching to hold them. Love you guys!
